I had a bit better luck with accessibility and a lack of flooding when I visited in February 2022. It was not the most scenic at that time of year but of interest to me were the remaining stone structures I assume from the mill or dams in the area. I also at the end saw number of bluebirds in a clearing. I visited this in an attempt to see as much of the Willimantic River as one can easily park and hike at. I didn’t think it was as nice as kings Riverside or Merrow Meadow, but nice enough to revisit in the future maybe when things are greener.
This area was a bit confusing for me as All Trails doesn’t list It but it lists another similarly named property just a short distance north east called the UConn Forest North Eagleville Tract, which is also a long water. That trail was less interesting to me. You can however find eagleville preserve while unlisted as a dashed line trail on the All Trails map, but I like the map you provided better.
